Volunteer for Pakistan is a nonprofit organization built on the belief that people's time, skills, knowledge, and experience can be a powerful resource for social development.
Our approach is built on a simple idea: there are people who want to volunteer, and there are communities and organizations that need their time, skills, knowledge, and experience. The opportunity is to connect them. People volunteer for different reasons: to give back, use their skills for a meaningful purpose, learn and grow, or connect with people and causes they care about.
Volunteering already happens across Pakistan through individuals, communities, institutions, and organizations. We seek to build on these efforts by creating more structured pathways that connect volunteers with genuine needs. We also aim to strengthen the wider volunteering ecosystem by encouraging learning and knowledge sharing, generating evidence, recognizing volunteer contributions, and promoting collaboration.
We believe volunteering is more than giving back. It is about active citizenship, reciprocity, and shared responsibility, with people and communities working together, learning from one another, and creating social value.
A compassionate society built on empathy, shared responsibility, and active citizenship.
To create structured, ethical, and inclusive volunteering pathways that connect people across social and geographic divides, promote mutual learning, and enable collective action in support of community-identified priorities and active citizenship.
Promote meaningful volunteering as a way for people to contribute to society while developing empathy, leadership, shared responsibility, and civic consciousness.
Mobilize people's time, skills, knowledge, and experience to contribute to meaningful outcomes in education, health, environmental sustainability, disaster response, and other areas of community development.
Build a more enabling, organized, ethical, and sustainable volunteering environment through learning and knowledge sharing, evidence, recognition, institutional engagement, and collaboration.
We contribute our time, knowledge, skills, and experience to create meaningful value for society.
We see volunteering as a relationship of mutual contribution and learning, not one-directional charity. Volunteers and communities both bring knowledge, experience, strengths, and perspectives.
We listen to communities and respond to priorities they identify rather than assuming that we know what they need.
We seek to understand others' experiences and perspectives and use volunteering to build greater understanding and connection across society.
We treat every individual and community with dignity and respect, recognizing their knowledge, agency, rights, and strengths.
We seek to create opportunities for people of different ages, backgrounds, professions, abilities, and communities to participate and contribute.
We act ethically and responsibly and remain accountable to the communities, volunteers, partners, and institutions we work with.
We believe we can create greater social value when volunteers, communities, institutions, professionals, and organizations work together.
We volunteer with purpose. We focus on genuine needs and work to ensure volunteer efforts create meaningful, lasting value.
