About Us

We believe that people’s time, skills, knowledge and experience can be a powerful resource for social development and a better Pakistan.

Who We Are

Volunteer for Pakistan is a nonprofit organization built on the belief that volunteering can create positive change when it is purposeful, inclusive and community-centered.

There are people who want to volunteer — and communities and organizations that need their time, skills, knowledge and experience. Our work is to connect them.

People volunteer to give back, to use their skills for meaning, to learn and grow, or to connect with causes they care about. Volunteering already happens across Pakistan through individuals, communities, institutions and organizations.

We build on these efforts by creating structured pathways that connect volunteers with genuine needs — and by strengthening the wider volunteering ecosystem through learning, evidence, recognition and collaboration.

Our Strategic Framework

Our Vision

A compassionate society built on empathy, shared
responsibility, and active citizenship.

Our Mission

To create structured, ethical, and inclusive volunteering pathways that connect people across
social and geographic divides, promote mutual learning, and enable collective action in
support of community-identified priorities and active citizenship.

Strategic Objectives

01

Build a Culture of Volunteerism and Active Citizenship

Promote meaningful volunteering as a way for people to contribute to society while developing empathy, leadership, shared responsibility, and civic consciousness.

02

Harness Volunteering for Social and Community Impact

Mobilize people’s time, skills, knowledge, and experience to contribute to meaningful outcomes in education, health, environment, sustainability, disaster response, and other areas of community development.

03

Strengthen Pakistan's Volunteering Ecosystem

Build a more enabling, organized, ethical, and sustainable volunteering environment through learning and knowledge sharing, evidence, recognition, institutional engagement, and collaboration.

Our core values.

Nine commitments that shape how we treat volunteers, communities and each other.

Service

We contribute our time, knowledge, skills, and experience to create meaningful value for society.

Reciprocity

We see volunteering as a relationship of mutual contribution and learning, not one-directional charity.

Community First

We listen to communities and respond to priorities they define, rather than assuming what they need.

Empathy

We seek to understand others’ experiences and perspectives and use volunteering to build greater understanding and connection.

Dignity & Respect

We treat every individual and community with dignity and respect, recognizing their knowledge, agency, rights, and strengths.

Inclusion

We seek to create opportunities for people of different ages, backgrounds, professions, abilities, and communities to participate and contribute.

Integrity & Accountability

We act ethically and responsibly and remain accountable to the communities, volunteers, partners, and institutions we work with.

Collaboration

We believe we can create greater social value when volunteers, communities, institutions, professionals, and organizations work together.

Impact

We volunteer with purpose. We focus on genuine needs and work to ensure
volunteer efforts create meaningful, lasting value.

The people behind the movement.
